John Pavlus's video for Jascha Hoffman's "Limited" combines clips from TRON, 2001, Moon, WarGames and Robocop to create a new, impressionistic narrative.
The song, from Hoffman's new album The Future Limited, is about an artificial intelligence that wants to be human, and the video recasts familiar A.I. personalities, like HAL, in this light.
I thought I was fancy for having a Vinturi, but since I'm into extreme food and drink preparation like sous vide, it would make sense to do the same for wine -- using a hand blender and a beaker. Epic.

Jobs, in an interview with Rob Walker for his terrific 2003 New York Times Magazine profile on the creation of the iPod, said:
Most people make the mistake of thinking design is what it looks like. People think it’s this veneer — that the designers are handed this box and told, ‘Make it look good!’ That’s not what we think design is. It’s not just what it looks like and feels like. Design is how it works.
Bears repeating. Over and over and over and over again.
